About Dana Epstein

Dana Epstein has been licensed in the State of Texas since 2013, is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, and an active volunteer and philanthropist in the Austin community. About Austin

Dana came to the great city of Austin, Texas for school in 1999. Since then, she has fallen in love with everything the city has to offer.

Austin Favorites

Milwood has been Dana’s favorite neighborhood and home for over 14 years. She loves that the neighbors are always out walking their dogs, out with kids, or doing home improvement projects. Everyone is friendly and looks out for each other. The homes are the perfect size for people of all stages in life. There is a community garden, library, and a few restaurants to walk to including the BEST sushi in town at Tomodachi. Aviator has a great outdoor space with a playground for the kids, perfect for meeting up with friends for pizza and a beer on a Friday night or Saturday. Thai Cuisine and It’s a Grind round out the options with an addictive Pad thai and neighborhood coffee shop. The Hideout Pub on the edge of the neighborhood has amazing burgers and drink prices. Balcones District Park offers a community pool and trail access. The location is prime for easy access to Mopac, 183, and I-35. Also close to the Domain, Apple, and all the new industry coming along Parmer lane. Dana is so happy to call Milwood home!

Community Involvement

Dana most recently spent 13 years in Jewish communal service at Shalom Austin, where she served as the Assistant Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Austin. Dana was responsible for leading many important initiatives, including various outreach and engagement efforts, creating networking and community service opportunities with many local nonprofits, overseeing multiple volunteer committees, developing leaders, and working closely with the Board of Directors. She received Shalom Austin’s first Staff Exemplar Award in 2013 and the Selfless Service Award from Hindu Charities for America in 2015 for her years of collaboration on the Bollywood Meets Borscht Belt fundraising event to provide school supplies for homeless children.

Personal Life

Dana Epstein, an Austinite since 1999, moved to the city to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in 2002 and earned a Masters of Public Affairs from the LBJ School in 2006. Like many others, Dana quickly realized Austin was the best city in the country and feels the same way today. She has also lived in several other places, including New Jersey, Connecticut, Oklahoma, and Washington, D.C.
